Don't let the low price fool you, this thing is BRIGHT! This bright searchlight is a needed sense of security when I am walking outside at night. The spotlight has a HIGH and LOW setting. With a power display, you could know when to charge this light exactly. This is IPX6 waterproof.<br>You also could use it on a rainy day.

I rated this light with five for battery life and water resistance because I haven't had the light long enough to rank its performance in those ways. I needed something to light up the dense woods behind our property as we have a variety of wildlife. The bean is narrow and bright even at a distance. Good value.

I can say that if you shine it directly into your face the brightness will be very very uncomfortable, so don't do that. I love this light. We live in an area with an acre and no street lights, so my son and I have to put the animals away at night. But it's a little heavy. Hard to hold comfortably with one hand.

I use it as a spot light at night when my dogs go out so that I can keep an eye on them.

This light works well for seeing the coyotes at night in our fields.
